Who are we hiring?
The Senior Vice President of Sphere Product Management will lead a team of eight product managers. The SVP will be the Chief Product Officer of the Sphere. Product Managers will be focused on defining the product proposition for our fans, our creators, and our advertising partners. The SVP of Sphere Product Management will lead the product vision and work across all functions to help translate our stakeholder needs into product solutions that make the Sphere a customer and commercial success. The SVP of Sphere Product Management will play a key general manager role to help us achieve our customer goals, our revenue goals, and our creator goals. They will play a key hand in shaping the product vision that makes the MSG Sphere a breakthrough success in the world of live entertainment.
What will you do?
• Create the Vision for the product offerings that make up the holistic MSG Sphere experience.
• Act as general manager for the Sphere Product Portfolio.
• Define the stakeholder needs for guests, creators, and advertisers.
• Translate these needs into aligned product roadmaps.
• Lead teams of product managers and engineers to deliver product roadmaps with world class product.
• Work cross functionally to align on resources, budgets, and staffing to deliver our product roadmap.
• Develop product analytics capability that enables us to learn from our stakeholders.
• Create a continuous cycle of product innovation and improvement in our product offering.
• Lead teams to align on technical design, commercial model including pricing, distribution or placement, and promotion of the offering via marketing and or sales.
• Responsible for the commercial success of our product offering as measured in revenue, profitability, and executional excellence
What do you need to succeed?
• 12-20 years of relevant work experience.
• Deep interest in the intersection of technology, business, consumer behavior, and innovation.
• Able to develop product vision that inspires and energizes teams.
• Great leadership skills.
• Strong customer instinct and an ability to make products that are commercially successful.
• Sound product management foundational experiences. Proven ability to ship products that customers love on time and in quality fashion.
• Data and customer driven with an ability to lead teams to make sound strategic choices.
• Degree in a demanding undergraduate field (engineering, operations, economics, finance) and either an MBA or deep experience starting their own business or have general management ownership at a young age
• Demonstrated domain knowledge in media, music, entertainment, advertising, advertising technology would be preferred
