Director Sales & Partnerships- Sphere


Who are we hiring?
The VP of Sales & Partnerships will be responsible for selling multi-year category sponsorships (i.e. official 5G connectivity partner, official Cloud computing partner), extensive brand advertising on the MSG Exosphere, corporate event packages, live event partnerships, branded content creation for the Sphere that drives Sphere Studio revenue, as well as corporate hospitality.

What will you do?

• Responsible for selling key multi-year category sponsorships, grounded in insight and activations
• Responsible for selling brand advertising on the MSG Exosphere
• Responsible for selling corporate event packages that include venue rental and content creation for the Sphere that drives Sphere Studio revenue, and suite sales
• Deliver a sales quota, manage an extensive pipeline process, and maintain customer relationships

What do you need to succeed?

• 10-15 years of media and sponsorship sales experience with a proven track record of performance
• Deep relationships in target industry and be well respected by their clients
• Persuasive conceptual seller, strong communicator, and expert negotiator with the ability to navigate complex, multi-year brand-direct deals with VP+ marketers
• Experts at understanding customer needs and designing solutions to solve key customer opportunities
• Breakthrough thinker, able to break the norms of classic advertising sales and design new to the world solutions that combine content & media to earn premium prices in the market.
• Operating discipline to manage sales pipelines
• Creative and product-centric, this person is comfortable bridging sponsorship and advertising with technology and strategic partnerships
• Good team player who can work with Sphere Studios, our technical teams, and our product managers to represent solutions within a highly aligned Sphere sales strategy
