FX Lead

FOR AN IMMEDIATE START

·       Lead FX artist to deliver per the production’s goals and expectations.

·       Work within the project structure and production deadlines to complete all tasks

·       Follow direction from the CG Supervisor

·       Provide guidance and mentorship to FX Artists; support technical questions of others

·       Design and create images, elements and effects; Multi-task over multiple shots

·       Assist with scripting and providing support and documentation for tools created

·       Develop new FX systems and use previously developed FX systems

·       Work with a range of departments to achieve production goals

·       Stay informed of current FX-related technologies and implement them effectively

·       Familiarity with pipeline issues and problem solving.

·       Familiarity with Nuke and a solid understanding of the compositing

Skills / Job

• Extensive knowledge of Houdini.

• Knowledge of several Houdini methods - destruction, fluids, Particle FX, Pyro FX as well as procedural content creation for architectural environments and landscapes.

• Ability to showcase outstanding use of fluid dynamics, timing, animation, color and lighting in the creation of photorealistic, high-quality effects for environments and dynamic objects.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as HLSL/Python/C++.

• Photoshop, Blender, Substance.
