Who are we hiring?
The Experience Design Senior Manager will shape the delivery of the MSG Sphere Brand experience in our physical spaces. The primary focus will be to bring our physical brand experience to life at the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas that opens in the second half of 2023. The Manager will also work to shape the employee and stakeholder experience at our Burbank campus. This includes the expression of our brand at the Big Dome which is our creator production studio and ¼ scale replica of our Las Vegas experience. The manager will also shape our brand expression in our employee office space in Burbank. Finally, the Manager will partner with our Design and Construction teams to influence the expression of our brand at future MSG Spheres and Domes around the world. The right leader will partner with other design managers on the team to translate our brand identity guidelines and principles into every step where our guests and stakeholders physically experience our brand.
What will you do?
• Work with outside agencies and creative teams to translate our strategic intent into creative execution.
• Partner with the Brand Design & Marketing team to help define of the MSG Sphere Brand Identity.
• Translate the Sphere Brand Identity into design language that can be applied in the physical domain.
• Build the guidelines, toolkits, and design principles that allow multiple teams to build physical experiences that are consistent with the MSG Sphere Brand Identity.
• Teach the principles that allow multiple team members to evaluate what is and what isn’t “on brand” .
• Enable us to create a guest, fan, employee, and stakeholder experience that is broadly loved.
• Help us attract, recruit, and develop other world class design leaders.
What do you need to succeed?
• 7-15 years of experience working in brand and physical experience design.
• Experience shaping the definition and strategy of a brand in its formative years.
• Comfort working in ambiguity and in a rapidly growing team environment.
• Fundamental design training from world class academic institutions or from top brands or agencies.
• Proven ability to define strategy that guides consistent execution. Strategic thinking is crucial.
• Deep experience leading creative teams in house or through agency partners.
• A known leader who inspires great creative work and maximizes the potential of a team.
• Background in graphic arts, architecture, or visual design
• Strong knowledge of Adobe products including Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
