Senior Production Manager - Onsite

Who are we hiring?
MSG is looking for a Sr. Production Manager to join a groundbreaking production department based in Burbank, CA. As the content delivery team for all MSG Sphere projects, we strive to create world-class experiences at an unprecedented scale for the largest LED screens ever made. The Production manager functions as a key role in driving projects forward across the studio team. This position manages several projects at a time with shifting priorities and deadlines, keeping efficient workflow, and keeping communication between all departments. The PM will support the Line Producer and Sr. Producer through development to delivery.

What will you do?

• Create and lead weekly departmental meetings and brainstorms as needed
• Create and manage production schedules / calendars for all assigned projects
• Manage and support shoots when working with LP, track the budget set by the producer and maintain a working budget through prep and production, liaising with LP throughout
• For smaller shoots, act as the main production lead creating a budget at the pitch phase and manage independently through delivery
• Liaise with the legal teams across MSG for all assigned projects ensuring all agreements, contracts, and releases are created, fully carried out, and stored within digital job folders per MSG Guidelines
• Manage vendor relationships and schedule project needs, be the liaison between production and post-production
• Delegate and oversee travel logistics for talent and crew for travel productions when.
• Create schedules and budgets with vendors that meet each project’s needs and due dates. Oversee Daily Schedule Summary to flag any financial inconsistencies to
• Attend meetings with leadership and present plans and process


What do you need to succeed?

• College degree preferred or additional production certificate programs (not required).
• Minimum of 10 plus years of experience as a production manager, or line producer
• Must have excellent skills using Movie Magic Budgeting, Excel, SharePoint, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, and other scheduling software
o Expertise in building PowerPoint presentations and working with leadership and changing documents on the spot. We will ask for examples.
• Comfortable engaging with executives, Supervisors, Leads, and artists.
• Excellent skills in collaboration and communication (oral and written). Must be a team player and work well under tight deadlines.
