Interactive UI / UX Design Senior Manager-Hybrid


Who are we hiring?
The Senior Digital UX/UI Designer, Sphere will help us define the digital experience for our guests - both potential and confirmed, from online discovery to physical visitation. The Senior Digital designer will be customer-focused and will provide brilliantly simple UX/UI solutions which will shape our customer experience on all our digital platforms, including our desktop/mobile website, potential apps, and beyond. By crafting an intuitive and seamless digital experience for our users, we’ll create spaces where interested parties can easily gain a clear understanding of the Sphere brand experience and purchase tickets. Confirmed guests can manage their experience both inside and out of the Sphere. This role will be working closely with the Senior Product Manager, Customer Journey, and will also help manage our relationship with any outside design partners.

What will you do?

• Work with product management to visualize and define the desired customer experience in digital.
• Work with product to define product requirements and acceptance criteria for each project
• Blend best in class interactive design principles that make great customer experiences with our Sphere Brand Identity to design digital experiences that drive customer delight and reinforce our brand equity.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering to create UX/UI flows, wireframes, mocks and prototypes that enable our technical teams to build great digital products.
• Work to translate our brand design language into digital experiences.
• Craft, mock, and prototype new intuitive user interactions and gestures for both novice and experienced users.
• Be an inspirational leader for our external agency partners. Write laser clear design briefs and empower creative teams to design brilliant solutions. Be principled and structured in how we give agency creative feedback to unlock great work.

What do you need to succeed?

• 6-15 years of experience in digital UX/UI design for consumer facing products with proficiency in both desktop and mobile (native mobile app experience highly preferred but not required)
• Experience designing intuitive UX/UI for complex flows and menus
• Proficiency in Figma or a similar design application
• Be strategic. Be able to define a vision, excite teams, define success, and enable long range outcomes. Drive choice that defines where to play and how to win. Work in first principles & be customer driven.
• Show proven experience developing great consumer facing brands.
• Show clear knowledge of best practices in designing consumer friendly UI/UX.
• Be able to manage ambiguity in a rapidly growing environment. Be comfortable framing choices with less than perfect information.
• Proven ability to be a great partner for product, engineering, and marketing partners.
• Understanding of the importance of documentation and willingness to document work and decisions
• Good ability to synthesize large amounts of information from different places and communicate recommendations and findings effectively
