Who are we hiring?
The Sr. Coordinator, Sphere Venue Operations will report directly to the SVP & General Manager of MSG Sphere. Under limited supervision, the coordinator will provide administrative support on a variety of daily activities and will assist with expediting venue business within a complex organization.
What will you do?
- Work closely with other Coordinators and Administrative Assistants to ensure that all team members have the necessary information when called upon.
- Work as part of a team by providing regular communication and fostering a high level of collaboration and cooperation.
- Arrange meetings and coordinate schedules in a fast-paced environment.
- Anticipate all contingencies and be strategic in prioritization of all projects.
- Prepare comprehensive travel itineraries if necessary
- Schedule executive level conference calls, videoconference meetings, in-person, and on-site/off-site meetings with C-suite executives, and employees.?
- Coordinate logistics for special business events and personal projects; help locate and obtain information & resources; anticipate and prepare materials as needed.
- Provide local support to visiting MSG Venue Management & Operations staff if necessary.
- You may be requested to support other Executives of the organization in addition to your regular responsibilities if need be.
- Provide pre-opening support to Venue Operations management team including temporary office coordination and management and assistance with onboarding activities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Sitting, bending, walking, typing, general office duties.
- Must possess valid drivers license – occasional driving required (especially during pre-opening period).

What do you need to succeed?
- Candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred. Educational requirements may differ from job to job based on the role.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years hands on experience expediting business and personal projects in support of a manager within a complex organization. Experience in logistics in the live entertainment or sports environment or similar industry. ?
- The ideal candidate must be highly flexible, stress tolerant and motivated, with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Experience managing a highly changeable calendar with extreme tact and diplomacy is essential.?
- This person must have the ability to quickly learn the organizational structure and the objectives of the team as well as dealing with complexity and ambiguity within a large matrixed organization.?
- Candidates must show demonstrated experience interfacing with high level executives from diverse arenas.?
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.?
- Able to schedule and manage intricate travel arrangements and anticipate all contingencies.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.?
- Candidates should be well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task with a track record as a strategic thinker capable of foreseeing impact of simultaneous projects.?
- Strong judgment, decision making, time management, and prioritizing skills.? Must be energetic, positive, outgoing, and resourceful.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Also experience in metrics and/or data reporting.
- Ability to demonstrate success in managing multiple tasks while under tight deadlines and financial constraints.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Must be highly responsive to emergencies in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills necessary
