Who are we hiring?
MSG is looking for a Post Production Producer to join a groundbreaking post-production department based in Los Angeles. As the content delivery team for all MSG Sphere projects, we strive to create world-class experiences at an unprecedented scale for the largest LED screens ever made. Working in collaboration across the MSG post-production ecosystem, this role is the lynchpin between project-specific teams that work directly with client/in-house creative, and the artistic teams that complete the work. The ideal candidate is familiar with all aspects of a post-production pipeline and has the innate ability to diplomatically provide support for all projects in a fast paced post environment. This person has a well-rounded understating of previz, on-set production, editorial, color, sound, layout, stitching, photogrammetry, compositing, pipeline architecture, production technology software development, and beyond.
What will you do?
• Taking the cue from overall studio & project schedules, manage day to day artistic resources alongside creative and production support staff to ensure every project gets exceptional artistic departmental support, meeting and exceeding delivery needs
• Work with departmental leads to assign resources on a daily and weekly basis
• Provide scheduling support to artistic supervisors and leads to ensure deadlines are met
• Utilize project/asset tracking software consistently, finding efficiencies and making recommendations for long term improvements
• Resolve conflicting requests by understanding priorities based on delivery deadlines
• Manage a team of coordinators, utilizing their time and skills across multiple artistic departments to ensure adequate coverage
• Familiarity or experience with large format/high frame rate projects a plus
What do you need to succeed?
• College degree preferred or additional production certificate programs.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a VFX or post-production facility Producer
• Familiarity with a broad range of post-production software from content creation and editorial through production management tools.
• Proficiency in asset management software (Ftrack a plus)
• Comfortable engaging with executives, Supervisors, Leads, and artists.
• Excellent collaboration & Oral/written communication skills. Must be a team player and work well under tight deadlines.
