Description
We are looking for a talented Creature TD to join our busy team.
A Creature TD is responsible for building, rigging and simulating the internal anatomy of a creature, in order to drive the final deformation of the skin. They also define animation controls and rig puppets to be used by animation and other departments.
Applicants should be experienced and passionate about building photo-realistic creatures. Our ideal candidate would have broad anatomical knowledge and be well versed in creation, rigging and simulation of skeletons, muscles, and skin.
Creature TDs work closely with various departments, especially Modelling, Animation, and Shots and collaborate with the Creature Cloth/Hair TDs to deliver dynamic, realistic creatures.
Our successful Creature TD will:
• Have 4+ years as a full time Creature TD on feature films
• Have experience with skinning and deformation of photo realistic characters and/or creatures
• Have strong scripting and debugging skills
• Be a Maya power user
• Have Linux experience
Desirable additional skills:
• Experience in Cloth and Hair simulation
• Production Houdini experience
• Muscle, fascia, fat, skin setup and simulation
Being able to communicate effectively, work collaboratively and give and receive constructive feedback will be critical to your success in this role. You’ll have excellent time keeping skills and strive to maintain a resilient and constructive workspace within your team.
