Environment Layout Artist

Position: Environment Layout Artist

We are a Los Angeles based production company in search of Environment Layout artists. Ideal candidates should have exceptional technical and artistic layout experience with an emphasis in real time layout work.  The position provides opportunities to work on a virtual production stage.

In this role, you will build and assemble assets into breathtaking, elaborate, all encompassing, real-time environments. You also may assemble motion capture performances and integrate them with live action elements. The main focus of this position is layouts, however having a knowledge of modeling, texturing, effects, animation, rigging and character work is desirable. Communication skills are important as you will be working with teams of developers, cg artists, concept artists and production personnel. You should be driven, positive and interested in the opportunity to learn while adapting to the changing needs of a film production.

Requirements

·      Experience in one or more of the following: VFX, Games, Entertainment, 3D Graphics, Simulation, Visualization.

·      Expertise in one or more of the following: layout or lighting

·      Proficiency in Maya.

·      Flexibility, as this is a dynamic production environment.

·      Candidates must be US citizens or Permanent Resident card (Green Card) holder.

·      Candidates must live in the Los Angeles area or be willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area.  Our offices are in Manhattan Beach    and so must live close enough to commute to work when needed.

 

Preferred

·      Experience in a 3D pipeline, at a high-end Visual Effects or Video Games facility.

·      Experience with creating art/game content.

·      Proficiency in Linux, MotionBuilder, Photoshop or similar software

·     Experience in troubleshooting and scripting
