Strong project management stills a must.

The Channel Producer role within Apple's MarCom group provides leadership for the development and implementation of marketing communication materials designed and produced by MarCom specifically for Apple’s worldwide wireless tele-communication reseller partners. This includes, but is not limited to; in-store graphics, collateral, point of purchase promotion, product signage, and event materials and unique 3-D fixtures. The position drives the creative development of all projects, including helping the creative team understand the objectives, target, messages, and desired outcome.

The position oversees specific channel projects from inception to completion and ensures they are produced on strategy, on time and within budget. Day to day responsibilities include maintaining all work flow, presentation, approval processes, schedules and budget management procedures to create a smooth workflow. The position works closely with other teams within the MarCom group, including creative, production, and studio to produce all deliverables, and oversees work being created by the other channel team producers to ensure a cohesive strategy is being applied to all materials. Additional oversight of work developed by partner agencies is included in the role.

The position acts as a strategic liaison between MarCom, Apple’s sales team and key reseller partners, and is expected to ensure creative objectives are well defined and appropriately executed to achieve desired results.

The ideal candidate must have prior marketing communications experience, preferably in a wireless carrier reseller or retail environment, excellent communication skills, demonstrated project and budget management skills as well as a solid understanding of the creative development process. Strong leadership abilities are required, as this position informally leads functional teams and requires marketing communication expertise at both a strategic and executional level. Limited working knowledge of the pre-press and print production process is also beneficial. Architectural or 3-D design experience a plus.

Requires BA/BS+ 5-6 years marketing communications experience or advanced degree+ 3-4 yrs experience. Ideal candidate will have previous wireless carrier or handset manufacturer channel marketing experience, and account management or project management experience at a design firm, ad agency or in-house marketing communications or creative services department.
