STEREO COMPOSITOR

Description

The Lead Stereo Compositor is responsible for combining live action and computer generated elements into visual effects shots, as well as oversees others who combine elements to realize the vision and creative direction of the client, project leads, and Stereographer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Communicate and collaborate with other lead compositors, r&d, pipeline and other members of the VFX/Stereo Conversion team.
• Foresee, troubleshoot and communicate potential problems.
• Work closely with VFX/Stereo Supervisor & Stereographer to evaluate the creative and technical approach for assigned shots
• Communicate new techniques and processes to increase efficiency and enhance the overall look of a shot.
• Perform all tasks associated with the compositing process: incorporating roto, matte extraction, layering of elements, color correction, 2D and 3D tracking
• Complete work within the schedule while maintaining constant communication with production team and other artists
• Determine best approach to solve compositing challenges and develop final overall look
• Maintain the overall look, color balance, and quality for assigned shots and sequences to create uniformity in all finished work
• Ability to share techniques and mentor junior level talent
