Manager People Acquisition

Who are we hiring?
The Manager People Acquisition will play a vital role in the People Practices (Human Resources) Department and is responsible for all aspects of People Acquisition in support of Madison Square Garden’s (MSG) Burbank Sphere Studio recruiting needs. The ideal candidate will have experience across multiple disciplines including Marketing, Communications, Corporate, Strategy, and Sales environment. This position will work closely with business leaders to provide results in presenting and hiring quality candidates that meet the requirements of our business needs. This position is a hybrid role (2-3 days in office) located in Burbank, CA. The responsibilities of the Manager, People Acquisition may be expanded to other business units

What will you do?

· The Manager, People Acquisition will manage full life cycle sourcing and recruiting for a broad range of positions at all levels supporting MSG roles primarily in Productions, Ventures and Corporate.

· The ideal candidate is committed to providing an enhanced customer and candidate experience and marketing MSG as a great place to work.

· This position will recruit and hire as business requires, including working with hiring managers in the requisition intake process, scoping of open positions, working with compensation department on salary data, securing approvals, creating, and executing posting and direct sourcing strategies, assessing, and interviewing candidates, and guiding and coaching hiring managers through the process of attracting and onboarding talent.

· This position will utilize data to provide updates and communicate within the People Practices team and throughout the organization.


What do you need to succeed?

· The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant degree or experience and a minimum of 8 years recruiting experience in Marketing, Communications, Corporate, Strategy, and Sales environment.

· Strong history of placement success and building relationships with all levels.

· Experience and track record of building partnerships with their business leaders and support functions.

· Strong analytical, interpersonal, influencing skills and written and verbal skills required.

· Working knowledge and understanding of all laws, rules, codes, and regulations applicable to the workplace.

· Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, changing entrepreneurial work environment while performing multiple tasks and managing a large requisition workload is a must.
