Hot Dog & Hamburger is a spec (IP) developed by the animators of SpeakeasyFX. Prior to this shot, Hamburger has come from bumping into Hot Dog, knocking the ice cream out of his hands. In this shot, as Hamburger balances himself, he is surprised to realize he has regrettably made a terrible mistake.

This is a scratchboard piece inspired by a photo greeting card. I made a carbon transfer of the girls' outline onto the scratchboard, and then used quick, steady movements scraping with a scratch pen to achieve the texture and light values in the image.
