Sales Manager: Gearbox Publishing
As part of the Publishing group the
Sales Manager is responsible for supporting sales across all pre-sale and
post-sale client conversations. As the sales product expert, the Sales Manager
works cross-functionally to identify creative solutions for strategic marketing
programs that mutually deliver against client objectives and align with Gearbox
Publishing’s vision.
Reporting to Head of
Publishing, this individual will collaborate with key internal teams to develop
compelling brand packages across: Console, Social, Retail, E-Commerce, Experiential
& Competitive Gaming. As the lead Sales Manager, this role is responsible
for orchestrating all internal resources to ensure client and campaign
expectations are met and Gearbox is in a strong position to drive brand renewal
conversations. This role will be a full time hire, based in our Frisco, Texas
office.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Brand Marketing to develop growth
strategies for current and new brand partners
- Manage the Pre-Post sale process, from ideation, execution
and renewal
- Develop brand proposals for strategic 360 programs,
scalable media, and custom requests
- Manage project timelines, following up on brand
approvals and ensuring internal and external deadlines are met
- Manage and deliver brand opportunities across multiple
sales territories, pending needs of the business. (Potential Travel
Required)
- Evolve Gearbox’s Go-To-Market materials, ensuring our
product story and offering is relevant and competitive in the ever-changing
digital marketplace
- Act as internal conduit between sales helping educate
and keep all internal stakeholders abreast of marketplace changes and
brand product expectations
- Support sales managers in client meetings and identify
the right opportunities that mutually support with Gearbox Publishing’s
vision and brand marketing objectives
- Responsible for driving revenue and corporate
priorities through digital distribution of videogames at major retailers
including, Sony, Microsoft, Steam and Nintendo
- Responsible for securing the best possible placement,
promotions, and performance for Gearbox Publishing
- Responsible for driving and implementing new digital
opportunities in each of the different platforms
- Tracking and managing sales reports for internal
Gearbox departments (Executives, Publishing, Finance, etc.)
- Work cross functionally with international, brand
marketing, production, business development, Operations and other Gearbox
divisions to ensure the company’s strategic objectives are met
- Manage budgets to ensure sell thru objectives are met
- Determine overall strategic priorities for driving ultimate
results
- Lead the analysis of market data, industry dynamics,
local market intelligence, product and customer shopping trends
Requirements:
- Digital marketing and/or agency experience with an emphasis
on new media and/or gaming
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a
busy environment.
- Understanding of basic marketing principles and how to
use qualitative and quantitative data to create compelling brand stories
and packages
- Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort thinking outside of
the box
- Collaborative and confident individual who is
comfortable navigating complex internal conversations with multiple
stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills along
with strong presentation skills are necessary
- Strong customer service attitude including
interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a focus on the details;
ability to influence decisions at all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing
data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business
solutions
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills a MUST
- Over
five years' sales/business development experience preferably in gaming or
consumer products
Preferable Job Qualifications:
- Interest in gaming and/or advertising industry
- Solutions-driven and creative disposition
- Passionate about brand marketing and prior
agency/marketing experience
- Proven background of developing relationships with
partners and vendors across multiple countries
